On Jan. 11, 2006, we announced an investigation on 5 critical factors for causing children being abused. This is for claiming the public’s concerns and attention to those children crying in the dark.
According to our investigation, the 5 critical factors to cause the abusers to misbehave themselves are as follows:
- Lacking of parenting education
- Broken marriages
- Being unable to access to assistance from the public
- Poverty
- Unstable emotional status
We have 159 full time and part time social workers providing services to 780 abused children every year through our 23 branch offices. We have started our “Consultation Treatment Program for High Risk Families” at our branch office located in Taichung County, Taichung City, Tainan County, Tainan City, Yilan and Hualien since 2006. This program aims at assisting the families and the children who are under 18 years old. |
