TFCF invited sponsor children to participate in an exchange program in Taiwan from 15th to 24th March. These nine sponsor children representatives, who ranged from 12 to 23 years old, were from Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Swaziland, Vietnam and Cambodia. Regardless of age, they have all taken a positive approach to facing the challenges in their life. They have all shown outstanding ability in areas like sports, music, art, and academics.

The foreign sponsor children representatives of TFCF was received by President Tsai Ing-wen on the morning of 20th March, 2018. The president praised TFCF for providing assistance to children in foreign countries, and said she hopes the government and private sector will work together, and use this positive force from Taiwan to achieve even more.

4700 KM is the distance from Taiwan to Kyrgyzstan. 
According to the statistics, there are close to 30.6% of the people in Kyrgyzstan that live below the poverty line. TFCF Kyrgyzstan branch office was established in 2012. We have helped over 7200 underprivileged children get a better life. We also implemented varieties of program, such as nutrition improvement program, health education, talent program, BEMS soccer program, student program, and library built to enhance the living environment for poor communities.

TFCF Young Talent Show

On March 17th 2018, Taiwan Fund for Children and Families invited children and youth from national branches to participate in our Young Talent Show in Taichung. There were 12 teams joined our show, which including Samba drums, dancing, singing, ukulele, youth choir and string orchestra.  It was a great opportunity for vulnerable children and youth who could come on stage and show their performances to the public.

Clean Water for Schoolchildren in Vietnam

Vinh Long province is 135 km far away from Ho Chi Minh City and we found children faced acute water and sanitation crisis during our visits. With limited resources on hands, we now could only provide water purifier systems for two schools even we know that there are still many schools waiting for water purifier systems. Let’s work together to benefit more children and provide them the basic needs of clean water.  Keep Reading

Give a Music Magician to Developmental Delay Kids

To better assist developmentally delayed children, we provide the Early Intervention Program including counseling, day care, referrals and other resources for affected families. In addition to the basic therapeutic fields, we believe music therapy can also be applied to the treatment of developmentally delayed children.
